According to demographic and local data and actual needs of medical services, determination of necessary medical branches and related support services and the capacity calculations.
Upon final approval of Medical Plans , in order to provide adequate and sustainable medical services calculations for areas of each and support services areas. Placing of each department on it’s proper locations by taking care of interrelation of departments and patient,visitors and goods traffics in entire building.
To generate a set of Provisional Equipment Short Description/Specifications, for those items included in the Primary rooms only, these to be indicative of the equipment/furniture proposed, and to act as an aid to the identification and understanding of same.
To review these sets of Provisional Medical Equipment Layout Drawings, Elevation Drawings and Medical Equipment Room by Room and Bills of Rooms only with the assigned officers of the Client for the project in order to gain their approval prior to proceeding with overall design.

The generation of Intermediate Technical Bills of Quantity, in accordance with the Medical Equipment/Furniture and non medical furniture on a floor by floor basis, indicating all items of equipment.
The associated descriptions of items of medical equipment, medical furniture and nonmedical furniture shall be limited to a maximum of 50 characters and shall be deemed “short description”.
All technical data submitted prior to the approval by the Client of the medical equipment package in way of supplier(s) and/or associated equipment models shall be considered for provisional use only.
That Specifications shall be prepared providing clear and unbiased information, describing necessary functions and parameters.
That Specifications shall be prepared utilizing Local, American and European Databases, such that Local and International Procurement is possible.
That Specifications shall be prepared considering Standardization.
That Specifications shall be prepared to provide inter-communication between devices, especially between imaging and laboratory, and HIS.
That Specifications shall be prepared with reference to Quality Assurance Certificates, such as CE, FDA, ISO, etc,.
To review and discuss the Medical Equipment Package Specifications with the Client and/or the Medical Equipment Supplier(s) to ensure that this document is prepared in accordance with the needs and expectations of the end-users of the various departments and clinics.
To perform a detailed review of Medical Systems Design and to prepare reports and recommendations concerning the provision of services in way of the following systems: Medical Gas System. Nurse Call Systems. I.T.System. Pneumatic Tube System.
To act as liaison between the Client and/or Supplier(s) concerning the above- mentioned systems, and to offer recommendations to ensure that the wishes of the Client are adhered to.
To assist the Contractor and/or Client in sourcing relevant Supplier(s) for the Medical Equipment Package.
To actively participate in the detailed evaluation of the supplier(s) tender quotations, from both a financial and technical point of view, in order to assist in the final selection of appropriate equipment models and/or supplier(s).
To provide the Contractor and/or Client with a detailed report listing three relevant Supplier(s) /Manufacturer(s) / Models accompanied by associated pricing structure on an itemized and total cost basis.
To determine and identify those items of the medical package requiring precise installation details and/or pre-shipment of pre-installation parts for integration into the construction works prior to completion of finishing works.
Following review of the Design Documentation and receipt of Final Approval from the Client, to then proceed to revise and update the provisional/Intermediate Data for record, The generation of Final Medical Equipment Layout Drawings, where in all items of medical equipment, medical furniture and non-medical furniture shall be shown to scale and in accordance with the requirements of the Client.
The generation of Final Medical Equipment Details, where deemed necessary, wherein wall elevations shall be provided showing items of equipment and furniture and their respective mechanical and electrical services coordinates thereby allowing the appropriate subcontractors to locate accurately their respective services within each room.
Following review of the Design Documentation and receipt of Final Approval from the Client, to then proceed to revise and update the Provisional/Intermediate Data for record, thus The generation of Final Technical Bill of Quantity Listing, in accordance with the Medical Equipment Layout Drawings, on a floor by floor basis, indicating all items of equipment requiring a connection to either a mechanical and/or an electrical service source, complete with total quantity of those items and their associated table indicative of the desired requirements.
The generation of Final Specifications Listings, wherein the Description for each item of medical equipment, medical furniture and non medical furniture shall be updated as per the requirements of the Client.
During the construction phase, to perform regular On Site Services Review to ensure that the installation of the mechanical and electrical services be continuously controlled on an ongoing basis in an effort to reduce the amount of re-does to a minimum. During this period all pre-installation and installation manuals should be available and controlled and the service installation teams made aware of all relevant details.
During the Equipment Receipt and Dispersal phases, it is desirable that equipment arrival on site in an ordered schedule, determined at the time of ordering. This ordered arrival of equipment and furniture to site reduces the need for large storage areas and facilitates the
provision of security.
During the Installation phase, to provide personnel who are familiar with the layout of the building and the equipment package, where specific items of equipment are stored, where items are to be installed, to organize additional labor when required, to assist the relevant installation teams during their works.
During the Commissioning and Hand-Over phases, to ensure that the installed equipment works as per specification, to control that all start-up materials necessary for the commissioning of the particular items are readily available to the commissioning team. To be present when the commissioning team operate each item of equipment and test its functional operation, to contact with the client or his designated representative to accept official handover of the equipment.
